Robert Bell

Rooted in portraiture and the human form, my art explores themes of movement, transformation, and identity.
Many compositions feature dual-posed figures joined at the hips, suggesting fluidity and change that mirrors the complexity of lived experience. I create using chalk pastels, spray paint, and metallic leaf on wood panels or layered cutouts, building
three-dimensional surfaces that highlight each subject’s energy.
Inspired by Colorado’s Front Range, I blend organic forms with geometric elements to craft environments that feel grounded yet otherworldly and transcend the literal. Through this fusion of the familiar and the fantastical, I aim to spark curiosity, evoke emotion, and reflect on our connection to the natural world.
